Yoga is one of the most popular and accessible forms of exercise, and it's now available right here in Monifieth. Our beginners' yoga classes are held regularly at the community centre and are open to adults of all ages and fitness levels. Whether you've never tried yoga before or you're returning after a break, there's a place for you on the mat.

What Is Beginners' Yoga?

Beginners' yoga focuses on foundational poses, breathing techniques, and gentle movement. Classes are designed to be welcoming and non-competitive — the emphasis is always on your own experience, not on comparing yourself to others. You don't need to be flexible to start; yoga itself helps to build flexibility over time.
